Out of all my family trips, going to Disney is one of my favorites. I love going to Disney because its the one place where I can get everyone in my family (grandparents, aunts, nieces, and friends) to go to so we can all be together. This is a place that even my mother, who is a home body, likes to go to. Disney is such a magical place and has so much to offer that there is something to love for everyone. That being said, it can be a pretty crazy exhausting vacation if not planned properly.

Here are a few tips to make this trip truly worthwhile:

  • stay on the grounds: it may seem more expensive but this comes with perks that actually save you money on the long run of your trip.
  • if you stay on the grounds you get access to: Disney dinning pass, bands, transportation and not to mention it is easier to take much needed breaks without wasting alot of time.
  • best time to visit is late fall through spring
  • worst time visit is during the summer
  • plan ahead and buy tickets before you go but do shop around
  • this is a place where you need to plan everything including meals
  • eat the heaviest meal during lunch instead of dinner its cheaper
  • don’t waste money on park hopper passes, dedicate a day to the ones you want to visit instead

The most important thing to remember is to enjoy the moment and don’t get caught up on the little things. You went through a lot of trouble and spent a great deal of money to visit Disney with your family, make the most of it and enjoy every minute of it.

The different theme parks and what I liked most about them

I love all the Disney theme parks because they are all special in their own way but if I could only visit one I would choose animal kingdom. That being said I would encourage everyone to visit each one at least twice to really be able to judge it and find out which one is the best for you.

Animal Kingdom

This one is our family favorite and although I am a thrill seeker and love the rides the most when I go to theme parks, I also enjoy all the other activities they have as well, the following are my top must sees:

  • Pandora
  • Avatar Flight of Passage, a 3D flight over Pandora‚Äôs landscape.
  • Dinosaur ride
  • Discovery Island Trails, easy enough for small children
  • Expedition Everest (my absolute favorite ride)
  • Gorilla Falls Trail
  • Kilimanjaro Safaris

Magic Kingdom

My family really enjoys magic kingdom because it has classic attractions, fireworks, musical parades and Disney Characters. The fireworks display is amazing and we never miss it.

  • Big Mountain Thunder Railroad
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Liberty Square River Boat
  • Mickey’s Philharmagic (great show)
  • Space Mountain (my favorite)
  • Splash Mountain (also my favorite)
  • Cinderella Castle (very impressive)

Epcot

I love Epcot because you can travel around the world, under the sea and outer space. This park is more geared towards science and technology.

  • Soarin (must see this)
  • Awesome Planet
  • Impressions de France
  • Millennium Falcon
  • Mission Space
  • Reflections of China
  • Spaceship Earth

Hollywood Studios

Last but not least is Hollywood Studios. This place is great at making stories come to life all around you.

  • Star Wars (every attraction)
  • Twilight Tower of Terror (my favorite)
  • Rock-n- Roller Coaster
  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Lightning McQueen Racing Academy
